Jim M. Smith, B.Comm, C.P.A., C.A.

Jim is a chartered professional accountant with over 30 years of experience working closely with entrepreneurs, small business owners, professionals and not-for-profit organizations.

He has been a Financial Advisor for the Winkler & District Health Care Board for the past 20 years, and he is also the CFO and a Director for East Africa Opportunity Corporation. He is a past treasurer of the Winkler Community Foundation and the current treasurer for the Amy Janzen Memorial Fund. 

Jim is personally involved in the beef cattle industry, and has strong knowledge of agricultural-based enterprises.

When not at the office, Jim can often be found at a softball diamond coaching with his daughter or working with the family beef cow herd. He has coached and managed numerous minor sports teams over the past several years and likes to dabble in politics. His wife Jane is trying to convince him to travel. His four children continue to advise no social media accounts.

Debbie Elias, B.Comm, C.P.A, c.G.a. 

Debbie graduated with her Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University in 2008. That same year she also obtained her Certified General Accountant designation. 

Debbie began working for Jim M. Smith Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. in 2002. In her position, she is privileged to be entrusted with glimpses into local business operations. This allows her to provide professional services to clients with the rest of the team.

Jennifer has over 20 years of excellent client service and various office experience. She has been with the firm since 2002.

Jennifer is the friendly voice and face to greet you at the door or on the phone.  She strives to quickly resolve your problem, answer your question or direct you to the proper associate. 

When not in the office, Jennifer enjoys time with her three adult children and other family and friends.
