UPDATE - September 9, 2016
Our building at 240 Main Street is looking pretty bare. As you can see, we have four outside walls and that’s about it. The roof on the back half of the building has collapsed and we are left with a very natural skylight to work with. See bottom of this page for pictures.
We hope to have construction begin as soon as possible. Check back for updates!
In the meantime we’ve settled in at 555 Main Street.
UPDATE - August 31, 2016
Dear Client:
Thank you for your patience! We have fully relocated to 555 Main Street in Winkler. We are located in the same building as Red River College on the south end of the building. Signs are posted on the window.
All contact numbers and addresses are unchanged. As indicated previously, there was not fire damage to any of our records. All electronic and paper files have been “de-smoked” and returned to our office. We will be back at 240 Main Street the summer of 2017.
Since the fire on August 13th, it’s been quite the journey filled with a roller coaster of different emotions but we’re ready and eager to return to normal operations. Feel free to stop by anytime to see the new space or contact us if you have questions.
Let’s enjoy the last few days of those glorious autumn days that come our way every year.
Best regards,
Jim M. Smith CPA Inc.
UPDATE - August 22, 2016
We have completed the re-location of our office to 555 Main Street, Winkler, MB (Main Plaza).
Thank you to all the businesses and individuals that helped greatly in this process.
Telephone number, email and mailing addresses all remain the same as when we were
located at 240 Main St.. We look forward to providing services from 555 Main St. for the
next year or so. Please give us a call at 204-325-8033 or email us at jsmithca@mymts.net if you
have questions.
Dear Clients:
In the early morning hours of August 13 our premises at 240 Main Street suffered significant smoke and water damage but no fire damage from a fire in the space at 244 Main Street. The fire wall held!
No electronic or paper data has been lost but there was water and smoke damage. Specialists are "de-smoking" the paper and transferring e-data to new equipment. We will need to re-locate for a period of 5-6 months while newer, better than ever premises are re-built/built at 240-244 Main Street. We will inform you of our new temporary location as soon as possible. From the temporary premises we will be able to provide all of the same services that we have provided for the past 20 years. For Winnipeg clients it's business as usual.
Thank you for your patience.
Yours truly,
Jim Smith and staff
